Fiber Optic Patch Cables & Pigtail Assemblies

Fiber Patch Cables by OptoSpan are high performance fiber optic assemblies available in Single-Mode (OS2 or G.657.A2), and Multimode (OM1 – OM4) fiber. These assemblies come with popular connectors such as LC, ST, SC, FC, MTRJ, Uniboot LC, and Uniboot SC. Standard cable lengths are 1 to 500 meters, with additional custom lengths available upon request. For improved signal transmission, Single-mode assemblies can be configured with Angle Polished Connectors (APC), and the Bend-Insensitive series of patch cords use a lower refractive index glass layer, thereby increasing the fiber assembly’s ability to prevent light leakage. Fiber patch cables may also feature fire-resistant Riser (OFNR) insulation for use in vertical as well as floor-to-floor installations. The Plenum (OFNP) rated alternative can be used for installation within the spaces between floors, ceilings, and walls. Plenum rated cabling meets safety regulations outlined by NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and will slow the spread of flames more effectively than Riser rated cabling.
